Boasting a blend of 60’s-styled psychedelic, experimental rock, electronic ambience, krautrock and instrumental free-form; the Scandinavian collective Sorcerer’s Pyramid hails from the seaside town of Malmö.
The band consists of Leo Mandin (vocals, guitar, synth), Farbod Hashemian (vocals, guitar, synth), Oliver Olsson (bass guitar, vocals) and Robert Pál (drums, drumpad). Vocal and effects duties are not a constant, but are instead steadily shifted around to the various members.
Surrounded by a wide range of musical influences ranging from Radiohead, Floating Points, Nicolas Jaar, Queens of the Stone Age and Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds – the band is consistently finding their own take on a blend of genres and sounds.
Their debut EP, “Reverse Relations” was self-released in 2015 – with the follow-up EP, “Blossom” self-releasing in 2016. Supporting these efforts, the band has performed on a wide range of venues in the Greater Copenhagen Area.
